Rong began her rescue work ten years ago, saving and caring for over 150 dogs in her small sanctuary. With less than $1000 a month in donations and her own contributions, she only had about $6.25 to use for the care of each dog per month.
Top Three Priority Funds
1. Install surveillance system to deter dog poachers $1200
2. Provide 30% more kibble during winter months $500
3. Hire additional full-time employee to care for special needs dogs $400
Sanctuary Condition when we found it
The sanctuary was located at an abandoned factory site and had a leaky roof, causing flooding when it rained and creating a damp and dangerous environment. Without electricity, dogs died from getting overheated in the summer or too cold in the winter.
